Coronavirus vaccine update

Researchers at Imperial College London have announced that the first volunteer has now received a new test vaccine which they have been developing.

If these initial trials go well, then larger trials will be planned later this year.

The researchers at Imperial are making use of cutting-edge technology, which has the potential to revolutionise vaccine development.

The Imperial programme is backed by £41m of UK government funding, and is helping to strengthen the global fight against coronavirus.
