Workplace inspections are an essential part of health and safety management. Regular inspections provide a means for the company to measure safety performance against standards such as the Health and Safety Policy or local safety procedures.

 

Workplace inspections also help to identify unsafe procedures and unsafe conditions and rectify them before an incident can occur and an opportunity to ensure that other, more specific checks and tests have been made at the appropriate intervals (e.g. LOLER testing of truss, fire extinguishers, etc)
